How do
you
use generative AI?
As a lone creator?
You can benefit from a large number of existing applications.
In a collaborating group?
Groupsheets
can probably make your life a lot easier.
We help groups make effective use of AI-generated content.
How
groupsheets
help you act on AI-generated content
Design optimized for this type of collaboration
A groupsheet is a structured web-based document that members of a group can view and modify collaboratively (as with Google Docs, wikis, discussion forums, etc.).
Unlike these alternatives, groupsheets were designed with features that make them especially suitable for collaborative processing of AI-generated content.
Structuring of the shared space in a content- and task-appropriate way
Each groupsheet is configured to fit exactly the type of content being dealt with and the tasks being performed.
Direct invocation of the AI within the groupsheet
AI-generated content is requested and displayed directly in the groupsheet.
Requests can be made with minimal effort.
No more copying and pasting of output into a shared document.
Precise attribution of contributions
Everyone can see exactly how AI and group members collaborated to produce any given result, regardless of time or physical location.
Explicit support for parallel exploration of options
With other applications, it is generally cumbersome at best for group members to explore options in parallel while still coordinating their efforts.
Groupsheets were designed from the start to make this sort of interaction easy and efficient.
Ubiquitous, frictionless availability
Groupsheets work immediately on any device with a browser — no need to visit an app store or download software.
Groupsheets work off-line as much as possible and in many cases require no internet access.
Registration is kept as simple as possible while ensuring security.
So groupsheets can be used even by ad hoc, nonprofessional groups that are collaborating on just a single task.
COLL-E:
Collaborative generation of images with DALL-E2 and ChatGPT
COLL-E is the first deployed groupsheet that explicitly supports processing of AI-generated content.
It was introduced publicly for the first time at the CHI 2023 conference in Hamburg (23–28 April).
It will be beta-tested through September of 2023 and launched in the Fall.
